Dear Kelly:

The registrar will tell you whether your desired name is available. However,
he really appreciates having people research it first and also have one or
two alternate names in case the first choice name is taken. This saves a lot
of calling/correspondence if the name is taken. The R&I info is available
through 2001 registrations, but the name you want could already have been
taken in 2002.
