The old Roman fungicide/insecticide of sulphur and lime was 
developed for grapes. I don't know the interaction as one is 
acidic and the other is sweet. Lime can be considered a causitive. 
Severe burns can happen if moisture wets the lime on the hands. 
I'm glad you mentioned the hint.

Gee, there are so many cures, you never know which one to use. In my 
own case, sloth and so much to do and so little time causes the  
majority of my problems. Failure to separate and wait till next 
year, always catches me this year. Cleaning beds promptly in 
spring. I tend to put off the last bed and it always bites me 
hard. I went thru three fungicides but didn't start early.
  
What I need is schedule reminder that kicks me south of my equator. 
Bells and whistles don't help.
