HYB: sort of an answer - how long to dry?

I got some offlist material - a copy of an article by John Coble & Bob
Bauer that says:
"....We collect our seed pods when ripe and starting to split, usually
early September. The seeds are stored in paper envelopes-but for no more
than a month."

They don't elaborate, so it may be that they don't store them longer
than one month because they need to get them started. or maybe other
reasons...

I am drying mine until they are crinkly and dry looking - probably
several weeks.
