Dear Susan:
You must live very close to Miller's Manor Gardens in Noblesville. Their
address is 12788 E. 191 Street. They have recent iris introductions from
many hybridizers at reasonable prices. You could see the irises in bloom in
the spring and pick up your order freshly dug instead of it traveling for
days through mail or UPS. What grows well there should grow well for you.
I hope you cleaned off the mold and soaked that rhizome in a bleach solution.
Also, it is generally wise to let West Coast irises air dry in a shady spot
for a few days before planting them.
