I too still get so excited when we get new orders in and so far:
AITKEN - have ordered regularly over the years and am always satisfied -
mostly order Medians and this year received 4 brand new ones as gifts for the
5 that I ordered.
KEPPEL - Great order - ordered 14 (4 brand-new, 10 slightly older), Received
8 brand-new as gifts
MARYOTT - beautiful looking 14 in the order
PAUL BLACK - order not here yet but ALWAYS a stunning order!
As Dorothy Willott reminds us: those of us in the Mid-West especially leave
these big fat CA/OR rhizomes out in the warm weather for a week or so to dry
out! We also faithfully dip in 10/1 clorox solution when we receive - either
mail order or local sale and before mailing to anyone and let dry thoroughly
before planting or shipping.
If we ever have (and we'ved had a few) misnamed or puny variety, we always
let the shipper know because some times these are not under their control but
we find EVERYONE wants to make their customer happy and you should give them
an opportunity to do so.
