The soil in my garden is neither sand nor clay. It is a well-drained,
somewhat stony silt loam that nevertheles has good moisture holding
capacity in the root zone. Neither HONKY TONK BLUES or MYSTIQUE has ever
done particularly well here, though many other TB irises (even DM winners)
do.
