I would think a person can have but one favorite though he/she might cherish
or treasure many.
My favorite iris violates almost every principle I cherish and treasure as a
hybridizer. It does not always bloom. It does not rebloom. It sometimes rots.
Its stalks sometimes lay down. It does not produce multi sockets. It does not
have ruffles to any degree nor does it have any lace. It does not call from
across the garden. It blooms too late for easy use in my hybridizing efforts.
And every single time it blooms it blows me away. Often, like this moment,
the hair stands on my arms and "tingle" in response to it's image in my head.
Wishin' you a favorite that tingles,
