Re: AIS: Symposium/soap box


I think we should accept the fact that each of us has favorite irises that are not and never will be on the Symposium.  They are just personal favorites not national ones.  Let us enjoy them in our gardens and not worry about their not being among the 400+ eligiable for the the popularity pole.  The longer I grow irises and try to hybridize myself, the more critical my eyes become.  Some are close, but II haven't yet seen the perfect iris.  Of course, I'm still trying to find one among my seedlings.  :-)
