CULT/LA Cut-up Rhizomes

About 3 weeks ago I had to do some work in my Iris gardens. Some of
the rhizomes were over 10 inches long. I cut them in 1 inch peaces and
planted them in 1 gal pots. Now I have 2 to 4 new plants growing on
about 15 of the rhizome peaces. Some of the leaves are about 8 inches
tall. I had a few rhizomes in a bucket of water (till I had time to
plant them). They are not cut-up about 6 inches long. Some of them
have 6 or 7 new plants starting (about 1/4 inch).
My seeds have not started to grow yet. I have about 25-2gal. pots
with seeds. Most og the seeds I crossed myself, some were given to me.
When I checked my gardens I see 100's of new plants. I added 2 feet
to each side, now I have a 8ft by 8ft garden. When my compost is ready
I will add 1ft to the garden that runs along the house and fence. Now
they are 2ft by 25ft (house) and 2ft by 40ft (fence).
I can not wait for next year's blooms !
