Re: OT: Daylily hybridizing

Hi Kelly

I planted a lot of daylily seed this year, mostly from another hybridizer.
She had kept in the fridge for a few weeks before posting and some were
shooting by the time I received them, so I just potted them up. Some I have
planted as soon as I collected them and some got left for a while, so I just
put them on damp spagnum in the fridge for a few weeks and then planted out
in tube stock pots and kept somewhere warm. For me germination was no
problem, mine was that a considerable number of crosses seemed prone to damp
off in the first couple of weeks after gemination. But I now got a couple of
hundred lovely crosses in tube stock pots waiting to be put in the garden.
