LOL for you ball game comment ;-)
I have found daylily seeds easier at germinate that iris seeds. I sow
directly into the ground in early fall and wait. Germinating them
indoors was trickier because they would damp off on me or simply get
roasted by the sun once I planted them outdoors.
My son planted several seeds from a cross last fall and the all sprouted
but it will be up to three years before they're big enough to send up
scapes. It's about this for my climate and even longer because my cat
loves to roll in the gardens.
