My experience last year with Riverview was a good one. I was short some on
the order, but they promptly sent the replacements after contacting them.
The rhizomes were smaller than from other suppliers, but they grew as well
or better and I saw bloom on about the same percentage as from other
suppliers. With the late freeze any bloom from any supplier was an
unexpected surprise. I suspect the size of a rhizome has a lot to do with
growing conditions - weather, soil, length of growing season, amount of
water and fertilize etc. My own experience is that the size of a rhizome
is a poor indication of performance the next spring. Pups, though, are
always nice.
