I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for sharing their wealth
of knowledge with me in regard to irises. Due to many recommendations, I have
decide my first purchase will be a book entitled, "The Gardener's Iris Book,"
by William Shear. I am also considering "Iris: Flower of the Rainbow," by
Graeme Grosvenor. Si I have a desire to bring some old fashioned charm to my
garden. I have ordered some historic irises and will eventually be acquiring
the book entitled, "The Genes Iris" by W. R. Dykes.
As we seek out new introductions to add to our gardens, we should not
overlook or forget our worthy historics - old fashioned blooms that go back
to our yesterdays and enhance our tomorrow's.
