It wasn't intended to lay blame. It was intended merely to illustrate
the need for enough additional explanation on the AIS's "100 Favorite"
web page to allow people who are unfamiliar with the AIS and its
"Symposium" to put the voting results into proper perspective.
That said, I have one more suggestion for the "100 Favorite" web page.
Because I do know of quite a few people who have referred to these voting
results to help choose irises for their own gardens, it would be a
thoughtful touch for the AIS to include a recommendation that people
check with their RVP or regional website (along with links to same) for
regional voting results more directly applicable to their specific
growing conditions.
