Collectively, we've said a lot about mail order catalogs in the 5 + years
that I've been on this list. This post is to RANT a bit, but also report on a
recent experience with Henry Fields.
Yes, I know they had problems, but I was willing to give them a second chance
when I learned they had reorganized. I am now regretting that decision.
There were several things I didn't like. Football mums were not strong enough to
survive the transplant. Very skimpy on roots.
BUT . . . my strawberry plants were the big problem. They didn't arrive!
When I enquired, Fields put me off and did NOT tell me they couldn't supply the
plants until it was to late to order from anyone else. Bad business
practices. Grrrrr!!
Of course, I'd NEVER buy irises from them, but I thought . . . . WRONG!!!!
