Just to add my 2 cents worth--I too had a bad experience with this nursery. Ordered a tree and they sent me the wrong kind, of course sending it way late in the shipping season. When I called them (the day the tree came), they refused, in no uncertain terms, to replace it because their shipping dates had ended the previous day. I felt they should have sent me a new one since it was their goof that put the matter over the last date, and was only one day over. I could not use the tree that came, as it needed very moist coditions and gets way too big for the available space on my lot, but I did find a home for it with a relative. On the "plus" side, the tree that came was a beautiful little tree, just not what I wanted. Attempting to get them to send the correct tree was a very frustrating and futile matter, the problem seeming to be that nobody wanted to take responsibility for making a decision to make an exception to the shipping season dates, each person I talked to claiming that
there was no one else I could talk to. Like there was nobody really in charge. As you say, "bad business practice". Sorry for the "rant", but this matter still gets my goat! I lost a whole season on the tree. I'm not as young as I used to be, so every season counts! ha.

recent experience with Henry Fields.
Yes, I know they had problems, but I was willing to give them a second chance
when I learned they had reorganized. I am now regretting that decision.
There were several things I didn't like. Football mums were not strong enough to
survive the transplant. Very skimpy on roots.
BUT . . . my strawberry plants were the big problem. They didn't arrive!
When I enquired, Fields put me off and did NOT tell me they couldn't supply the
plants until it was to late to order from anyone else. Bad business
practices. Grrrrr!!
Of course, I'd NEVER buy irises from them, but I thought . . . . WRONG!!!!
