SDB: Reblooming Dwarf Iris

Joe,

I have had three SDBs 'sporadically' rebloom: REFINED; BABY
BLESSED; WHAT AGAIN (most reliable but up here - anything that
reblooms or has a repeat bloom is rare). 

And one MDB more reliably reblooms here:  DITTO (again rare). 

Chuck Chapman in Ontario, Canada has some reblooming SDBs in his
cold climate. He lists several in his catalogue and 7 are listed
as best rebloomers. He also lists one of his MDBs, FOREVER
VIOLET, as a reliable rebloomer. He is on this
list and he has a wonderful iris catalogue and his irises can be

Joe, do you have reliable snow cover all winter? Do you know the
pH of your soil? What is the annual rainfall and the 'usual'
first hard frost date ? All these are factors in the rebloom
'process'. I don't waste (literally) any time anymore with iris
rebloomers. I instead try to exend the real iris season with
Japanese irises and repeat bloom Siberians. 

I have had ROSALIE FIGGE (the iris ;-) rebloom once besides
IMMORTALITY.
