RE: HYB: Suppressed purple in pink

Thanks guys! I understood Sharon's response right off. Neil's I read four
times & think I understand it. Temperatures held for a week in the low 40s
right at the start of my bloom season, then jumped immediately to the high
80s, so undoubtedly a factor. Since the rest of the blooms on the stalk were
normal, I'd be really surprised to get a sport from this.

The Jennifer Rebecca pod had a whopping 4 seeds, which will get the fast-track
burrito treatment. Terrible bloom season this year. Hardly any pollen, lots
of pods with either nothing but chaff, or very few seeds and the rest chaff.
Made about the same number of crosses as last year, but only got a third as
many takes as last year, and one fourth as many seeds.

Mary Lou, near Indianapolis, Z5 - Sugar Blues the only rebloom so far (6/28 to
7/14)
