CULT/HYB: 2004 spring bloom season (was suppressed pink/purple)

<<Terrible bloom season this year.>>

I would agree that in terms of hybridizing this year was a terrible
year. Between frequent inundations of rain, deer, and the dog many of
my pods suffered. Not only was bloom season cut short by a Memorial Day
hail storm but the endless amount of rain has caused a lot of rot and
leaf spot. Many things are in bad shape and for sales that isn't good!

However we have had several rebloomers:

Eleanor Roosevelt (opened on July 1st)

Autumn Bugler (July 17th)

Belvi Cloud (July 16th)

Champagne Elegance (July 10th)

English Charm (one of my favorites, good substance too, July 15th)

Immortality (July 17th)

Now & Later (July 9th)

Summer Holidays (July 3rd)

Violet Returns (July 5th)

Tea Leaves and Dream Express(?) have stalks up. Has anyone ever had
Dream Express rebloom? I wonder if I am looking at the right tag?

Several pods have also rotted right off the stalk. I have stuck them
into potatoes and most of them have gone ahead and matured nicely.
Currently have lots of seed from a cross of LENA BAKER x STAR SURGE
(really excited about this one) and STROZZAPRETI x a yellow bc Bill
Tyson seedling that blooms FOREVER!

Well I think I have blabbered enough. Anyone else have any season
reports to share?

Botanically,
