Renown is half Violet Miracle, quarter Victoria Falls, one eight Sister Helen
& one eight I DO.
Renown is the pollen parent of Vanishing Act. I've seen no indication of rot
with VA. Never grew anything with Renown as the pod parent. VA's pod parent
was one of many delicate and light colored children from Laced Cotton and
Autumn Encore. Some were lovely cream with light brownish plicata bands. They
were a prolific bunch with many bloom stalks.
RENOWN contributed taller and bigger stalks with larger blooms but lost some
of the laced look. However, many of the siblings retained the height and
coloring of the pod parent. Rebloom probably comes from both Autumn Encore and
Renown, but was not expressed in the pod parent during the years I grew it.
I would be most interested to see what the Renown X Champaign Elegance cross
will do. If you decide not to pursue this cross, you can just send the seed
to me! (I didn't get many seed this year either!) I would hesitate to even
guess at the outcome.
Making a good home for any unwanted/discarded rebloom seeds!
