Most last at least a month,
Linda, it seems to me that a pod that has been set for 30 days seems to have
a very good chance of being viable. I've had several in the past that
sprouted when I'd given them 0% chance!
Last year, one of my MEMPHIS MISS crosses (2 pods) had 110 seed that looked
very immature. Yet, I have 6 seedlings from this cross lined out. It's not
a high percentage but it beats 0, which I expected.
This year, I have a seedling cross (2 rebloomers) that broke off after about
a month. It's a cross I really want, and I am quite disappointed. The seed
look good! Won't know for sure until next spring.
Spotted a stalk on TOTAL RECALL yesterday.
