Neil, everything helps.  And yes, I think I'm starting to  understand better. 
 
 
It's best when I can relate it to things I know?  
 
So.  When I crossed PRESENCE X PINK ATTRACTION, I got pinks and rose  colored 
seedlings.  Memphis Miss being the best of the pinks.   However, I also have 
a rose with bright red beard that I think came from the  same cross. 
 
Did this cross give rose colored seedlings because PRESENCE is quite  pink?  
Has a blue haze?
