I have been extremely interested in this thread as breeding exceptional
pink or pink-blend TB irises is my goal.

I had five seedlings from a cross of Mesmerizer X Pink Champagne bloom
this spring. Two were pink; one was white; two were blue bi-tones.
Only one was SA. Do I understand that Mesmerizer must have some pink
ancestors to give pink seedlings? My brain gets confused with two many
T-ts.

The white Mesmerizer X Pink Champagne seedling was the best, but I also
kept the pink SA seedling to see what it might do the second year.

I included the white in a group of four nice white seedlings that I hope
to intercross to combine their best qualities, and perhaps get some
good, strong, well formed pinks. Each of the other three are from pink
parents. Each has one SA parent, but only one is SA, PL X TT.

Here are the other three:
	Pond Lily X Cloudia
	Pond Lily X Twice Thrilling
	Happenstance X Elegant Girl

What are my chances of getting pinks from crossing these whites? I am
really surprised that I didn't get more whites from the Mesmerizer
cross. I have seedlings from the Pond Lily X Cloudia white by Pink
Champagne and Polish Princess that should start blooming next year.
What fun!

keep from losing them in 112+ degree heat.
