I am along the Lake of the Ozarks.......very rocky....only soil is what is  
hauled in & it is very poor quality.  After all I lost with the  freeze this 
year, I do not have much to lose.  I did not plan to have it  touch the iris 
leaves themselves.  I think I will try it because due to  health reasons, the 
weeding is not something I can do anymore.
