Haven't turned up anything useful about Baquacil/biguanide/PHMB.
PHMB turns out to be the acronym for several other things....
One study evaluated several products to see if they would prevent soft
rot in stored potatos - some did, but not biguanide. Not particularly
relevant to rhizomes outdoors.
However, there is a new book about plant diseases, published last year
by Springer, that has a chapter about Erwinia (soft rot), by Amy O.
Charkowski, Department of Plant Pathology, University of
Wisconsin-Madison, 1630 Linden Dr., Madison, 53706 WI, USA.
Not a book I want to own, but one I would love to read that chapter.
