The question of what to do about broken pod-bearing stalks is one which pops
up here now and again and to date I believe the only solution that has been
offerred was Dr. Zurbrigg's potato. . . which has worked for some.
Having said that, I now seem to be dimly remembering that someone, possibly
Ellen, said he/she just put a stalk in a bud vase with water and it matured.
. . .
In any case, this is all very interesting and practicalities would be
welcome. For instance, it would be useful to know what strength solution you used,
and how often you changed it.
