Hi Linda
You're in luck, I've managed to find my photo, plus seedling number,
attached. Looks the same, and when I do a bit of detective work, well,
look up Schreiners' site, they actually have the seedling number in
their description
"By popular demand we are introducing into commerce this dazzler which
was seen at the Will Rogers Garden as Seedling #MM 254-1 during the 2007
American Iris Society National Convention in Oklahoma City. This
pitch-black beauty, from our /Midnight Revelry/, is remarkable because
of the sheer degree of its black color. Its most unique feature though
is the unique creamy buttermilk beard with a yellow throat. What an
outstanding contrast against the purple-black velvet texture in the
falls! It produces 6-7 buds per stalk on sturdy three-branched stems. "
Yes it is the same.
Good memory on your part. Nice colouring, but a bit narrow for my taste.
