I can answer this part of your question.
The AIS Bulletin is published quarterly, ideally in January, April, July,
and October. Unlike a regular magazine subscription, which sends out its
magazines weeks -- and sometimes months -- before its supposed publication
date (I got my "August" MacWorld a couple weeks ago), the July AIS Bulletin
will not actually be sent to the printer until early to mid July. You
should expect it late in the actual month of publication.
Sometimes we get a little behind if there are last minute changes or
additions, and then you don't get it until the first week of the following
month. I try to post a message on the IRIS-L if I know we are going to be
late publishing. I also post a message when it gets shipped to the post
office. Then it can take 3 days - 3 weeks to get to you. Distance from
Tennessee (where they are mailed from) seems to have no relevance to how
long it takes to get there: the vagaries of book rate.
