Re: Priority Mail Service (PMS)--lengthy

I have a friend who just recently retired from the USPS. When asked
about delays in reports of lenghty (PMS), he stated that a majority of
the time the sender did not supply all of the proper address for the
automated bar code system to route the package properly. Occasionally
the Post Office proper may have missplaced the pakage, but the public
should remember the tens of thousands of pieces of mail handled by them
per day. You can notify your postoffice of the delay so they in turn can
backtrack the routeing of your package and possibly find someone else to
blame in the end. This summer I sent 1 rhizome to a friend 30 miles
south of me, Postage for PMS was applied. My local mail is processed 75
miles north of me. She got her Iris in11 days. It was misdirected. I
could've delivered it in an hour. Though UPS is higher I prefer shiphent
by them.
