Walter, I things I mail from Atlanta reach my sister in Canada faster
than they reach someone on the other side of town. It has taken more
than a week on occasion for priority mail to reach from Atlanta to
Chattanooga, both of which are post office hub cities. I've given up on
logical service times from the post office, and now send all packages, as
well as any important letters, by UPS or FedEx. I must confess, however,
that UPS did take THREE WEEKS do deliver some (formerly, by the time I
received them) live plants from Oregon to Marietta. Apparently the
entire truck went astray somewhere along the way. The Postal Service
beats that however, they once took nearly FOUR YEARS to deliver a
Christmas card from San Diego, CA to Tullahoma, TN.
