Lynn -- Once upon a time, long, long ago, when I was a college student,
I worked for the Post Office during Christmas breaks, sometimes as a
carrier and sometimes inside as a mail sorter. One season, as a mail
sorter, I had noticed a particular piece of mail go by on the conveyor
belt several times and finally end up with the fellow next to me.
Knitting his brow, he asked anyone within hearing, "Where is BA-HA-MAZ,
INDIANA?" No one answered. I took the envelope from him. It read, in
longhand, "Bahamas Isles." Does that help to explain the situation?
