I also clorox all irises. I fill a bucket full of water...(a
hospital bucket, I have plenty of those now ;-) ) , then I add about
2 cups clorox. Add rhizomes, stir, let sit for 24-48 hours in partial
shade. The result is a bee-YOU-tee-full rhizome that smells kinda
funny, but none of MY irises have rot. ) Unlike my parents' irises....
Anyway, it should be greatly diluted. I'm guessing that that bucket
holds a gallon or real close to it. I'm just glad that now I get to use
it for cloroxing my irises and not, ahem, other things.
