Re: potting iris

I see that everyone talks about potting iris.  I would eventually like to
sell my iris.  What is the advice about potting.  If I pot them in the summer
will they survive a winter outdoors in Illinois in a pot? Then I could sell
them the next summer....or should I keep them in the garden and pot them
early in the spring to sell even though they probably won't bloom?  Any
advice would be appreciated.
