I seem to have given the impression that I am leaving the iris list,
closing down my website, and moving to a monastery in Tibet. To paraphrase
Mark Twain, "rumors of my resignation have been greatly exaggerated."

I joined Iris-talk a couple days ago, and expect to have more time and
interest for participating in the conversation now that I no longer have
listowner duties. I resigned as listowner because there's no real pressing
reason for me to fill that job, now that the list is no longer run from
Rt66. And, of course, because I felt like I wanted a break from it. I'm
planning on maintaining (even expanding) the iris portion of my web site,
and will certainly keep the corkboard going. In fact, I'll probably be able
to do a better job at that kind of stuff now.

Thank you all so much for your kind words of appreciation. I had a lot of
fun getting this list going, and I'm delighted at what a success it had
become.
