Hi Rusty,
I can relate to your list of mis-adventures. My most common
mis-adventure is to back my car into the trailer. So far I haven't
actually damaged either!
We have a weed in the garden which is a type of ixia. It sets bulblets
at each flowering point and takes over. It started from one corm which I
introduced, not knowing it's potential. Quite pretty, with a pale yellow
ixia flower and foliage like a freesia. Last winter I decided to do a
thorough clean up of this thing, and spent the morning digging and
pulling up clumps. Ifound it growing in places I hadn't expected, but I
just kept on digging until it was all out. Several days later I realized
I had also pulled out and destroyed all my freesias!
The weed grew back, but this year there are no freesias to confuse it
with.
Cheers,
Jan, in Australia, where we had a thoroughly good rainfall over the
weekend.
