      Let us know how the plant "reacts" to the Iron.  It will not hurt.

     A test should be able to tell if it really is a Nitrogen deficiency or
not.  If it is a Nitrogen deficiency, they should be able to tell you the
safest way to correct it in your climate.  I am thinking that someone at
the University of Alaska-Anchorage could help.  Now that I am living in a
climate where freezes do not normally occur until late November or even
early December, I sometimes forget that those in the north have to already
be watching out for not fertilizing too late.

     The wildfire situation is the worst known to occur here.  Thankfully,
the trend has been toward an improvement in the situation, something I hope
continues.
