Many of you have heard my story, but some may not. I was born in Listowel,
Ontario, Canada, and attended Toronto University. I began hybridizing in
l949.In l958 I moved to Bloomington, IN and got a degree in Music
Education. Also met the late Dr. Raymond G. Smith, and absorbed much of his
love for the remontant iris. Over the years I have introduced about 150
iris varieties, many of them remontant (reblooming). In addition to tall
beardeds, some are IB SDB, one Siberian, one Japanese (not ensata). I have
an interest in added attractions, - Space-Age irises, - and am currently
trying to get reblooming Space-Agers for the East. My introductions are now
handled by Friendship Gardens in Gettysburg, PA. Lloyd Zurbrigg ,Box
