Diana,
Blackberry Lilies are indeed part of the Iris Family. There are two
species of the Blackberry Lily (Belemcanda chinensis and Belemcanda
flabellata) as well as the related hybrid Candy Lily. Other members of the
Iris Family I grow are Dietes (African Iris), Neomarica (Walking
Iris--known as Marcia here), and Trimezia (Tiger Eye Iris).
Other members of the Iris Family you may be more familiar with are
Crocus and Gladiolus. Freesias are also members of the Iris Family.
