I am a novice iris grower but long-time-iris-lover. I live in NYC in zone 6
and planted large bearded iris' in time for spring blooms. Now, it seems
there is a long thick stem growing which contains what looks like flat buds!
Are these seeds? I always thought the iris reproduced by rhinzome
multiplication.
Should I let these seed buds (???) dry on the plant? And when should I plant
them?
