Glad to hear you also liked MLH & Heidi Lowthorp also reports it as
being a "smooth, clean orange", not yellow-orange. (The nuances of word
descriptions are tricky, aren't they?) Clever of you to photograph MLH
-- I've never progressed beyond the Brownie box camera & really
regretted same this year when I was in the Conv. gardens without even an
old Brownie. My few notes & patchy memory of what I saw have proved to
be less than reliable...

AH -- now it comes back into visual memory! I recall 2 or 3 irises in
that same bed at Lowell's that were outstanding but wasn't able to
"sort" them until you reminded me. Thanks!

Actually, I got only 2nd or 3rd crack, since I wasn't hearty enough to
help with digging & prepping & didn't get to the sale itself until the
2nd day. I'm *very* happy with what I found, tho. Now -- where the heck
am I going to plant all these new guys & how much heavy digging is it
going to require???
