Ellen,
Why I. tectorum in the shade "of course"? We have tectorum growing in
the sun and in semi-shade. Both are growing equally well. We have had
no problems with the foliage -- pre-bloom or post bloom. In fact, Sandy
loves it as a foliage plant.
