Could it be that tetraploid siberians have a wider range of climate
tolerance? Both Coronation Anthem and Jewelled Crown are tets. Both have
done well for me in my zone 8 garden. Another excellent tetraploid
variety to add to the list is High Standards, a lustrous, deep
blue-violet with a wire rim of white. And like the name suggest, it has
good height some tetraploid varieties lack.
