I gave a garden walk this morning at our local botanical gardens through the
iris beds. I was showing the folks on the walk how hybridizing is done when
a woman asked quite seriously, "How can you tell if the flower is a male or a
female?"
I thought this was just hysterical. I managed to keep my composure though
and not pitch face first into a peony bush or anything.
