The printer I used to print the photo was running out of one of the
colors of ink and seemed to have a problem with the resolution as well -
the result is an absolutely GORGEOUS misty almost watercolor effect, so
yes, it does make a wonderful painting <g>
And thanks for the tip on Tompkins' FIGUREHEAD. I am so glad to hear
you folks who have his plants are trying to sort out the labels - he has
produced some really tough irises, but there's been a bit of a problem
getting the right plants <g>.

wondering if I will ever have labels correctly associated with all my
plants and maps that are accurate. Keeping track of names with so many
plants, and so many that die or dwindle to inconspicuousness, and so
many that don't bloom is a bookkeeping headache.
