Well, now jest a minnit. Way back when I was a chile (or a little
before, to tell the truth), we got nicknamed the Volunteer state because
the gentlemen got all dressed up in their buckskin jackets and walnut
dyed buckskin colored wool britches and out-volunteered all the other
states to go fight in the Mexican wars. And they'd also get all dressed
up in buckskins now and then to go to Warshington and politic a bit. So
this fits well as a historic reference rather than an orange & white
University of Tennessee Vol reference.
