Betty,
When I lived in Lexington, KY, I would put all Iris divisions in the
shade for curing. I would put them all under the carport and on a table
under the wide eaves of the house so that they would not get wet while
curing.
Once, I accidentally left some in the sun, and that was the end of them.
I have not had to divide TB Irises yet here in Florida, but it looks like
one or two of my pots of WINTERLAND may need division later this summer or
fall. Here, curing them in the shade will be a certain necessity.
