Having heard Ben talking about diggin time when he was guest speaker for our
iris society (Francis Scott Key) many years ago: I think the idea if you
waited 6 or 8 weeks, the increases would be in place and the rz would
transpant better since it would be more mature. The advantage of earlier
digging would give the rz the advantage of establishing itself in its new
home before winter sets in --- advantages in both methods Rosalie nr
