Hi Babs,
A few North "American irises" ...
Louisianas and all the species types: hexogana, fulva, brevicaulis,
Nelsonii, etc. Virginica, Versicolor, PCIs and their kin, Setosas if you
head far enough north into Canada and Alaska, Iris cristata, and
Missouriensis.
These are probably the most widely grown ones, but you can check out the
full list at Rodney Barton's North American Native Iris page.

Subject: [iris-talk] American Iris
Hello everyone,
Can anyone tell me what American Irises are? I looked
it up in my book, but only found *Pacific Coast*. I
sometimes see pictures of them at the Sunday
flowermarket. To me they look like TB. Are they?
Thanks everyone for answering my BIO. I have to do my
mail in the library, where there are only 13 pc?s,
many students and only one hour to use one of the
pc?s. So excuse me if it takes time for me to answer.
Today I will try to find Richard Cayeux on the Web.

P.S. Am I the only member in Europe?
