I was reading last night in an older AIS Bulletin about scorch. Apparently,
the burying technique has been known for a long time; however,
this article didn't mention burying as such. The author said to
cover up the affected plant with about six inches of dirt and then
wait for recovery and new growth. Remove the dirt when the plant
has sent up new leaves. This sounds easier, and you don't have to
get your hands dirty!
