With Dorthea K. Williamson and Black Gamecock putting up buds in Northern
Mi, suddenly club members are looking for sources of cold hardy La., help.
<<<
Carol,
I don't know of anyone who specializes in cold hardy LAs but a few you
might put on your shopping list are CLYDE REDMOND, JERI, RED ECHO, CAJUN
COOKERY, DIXIE DEB, HURRICANE PARTY, and the dwarf form of Iris fulva.
We're in a zone 4b, rotten granite with some compost added, ph 6.5 to 6.8,
and not a lot of water to spare for flowers. These are planted in a shallow
bed so they can be flooded. All of these are doing great even after a
glitchy Spring and are starting to bud up. :)
